Safety is an important concern no matter where you live.  We’ve had a couple of reports of vandalism, property destruction, and home invasion lately. Let’s keep our neighborhood safe! Here are a few tips to make your home less desirable.

1. Install an alarm system. Studies show that burglars and criminals avoid houses with security systems or cameras.
2. Lock up! Keep your doors and windows locked.
3. Don’t hide keys - especially under the doormat or in fake rocks.
4. Keep the lights on. Criminals will avoid well lit homes. Keep your carriage/garage lights on all night.
5. Know your neighbors. Report any and all suspicious persons and activities to our Clinton Township Police Department. The more calls they get from our sub, then the more likely they’ll be to step up patrols in our neighborhood.
